Breum was built in Denmark in 1925 as a North Sea fishing vessel. In 1980 Wolf Brehm converted her to a pleasure vessel based in Kiel, Germany. In the early 90’s she sailed to Tonga for exclusive bird research. Breum sailed to Auckland in 1995, where she was bought
by her present owner Wayne Tomlinson. There has been contact made to this web site by previous crew members, who have fascinating stories to tell. It is planned to accommodate some stories in the feature, and we we would appreciate contact from anyone who has been involved with Breum over the last 81 years of her sailing history. |
